Members' Rigs: Jeff Edgett

|
Jeff Edgett's love affair with the Jeep concept began at age three when his dad bought a 1970 CJ5 -- the first of many Jeeps.
Now in his 30's, Jeff continues the family tradition with a growing Jeep collection of his own.
Right now, the collection includes a 1955 Willys Pickup that is undergoing a full frame-off restoration and a luxurious -- yet very capable -- 2007 Commander Limited.
Jeff's off road and expedition vehicle is a 2001 Jeep Cherokee 60th Anniversary Edition.
One of less than 2800 manufactured, it was wheeled in nearly stock form (aside from the added skid plates) through mud, rocks, rivers, and waterfalls in Virginia and West Virginia.
It serves as the daily driver and has also made a five day drive across the country when Jeff relocated to Arizona in 2004.
The XJ has since undergone some tasteful and functional modifications.
It is wearing over 3" of suspension lift thanks to an Old Man Emu lift kit and Daystar shackles.
The Mopar Moab wheels are wrapped with 245/75R16 Wrangler SilentArmor tires.
Interior and exterior lighting has been upgraded to include LED gauge illumination, IPF H4 Wiring Upgrade, Rampage MSR headlight housings, Silverstar ULTRA headlight bulbs, and LED rock lights, LED running lights, and four super bright, HID Off-Road Lights.
Other upgrades and equipment include a SYE and custom drive shaft, poly engine mounts, Painless Cirkit Boss wiring kit, an 120v power invertor, customized Surco Urban Rack, Strap Lock Quick Release Tow Strap Bracket, Fire Extinguisher, Scepter military-spec fuel and water containers, ViAir 450H on board air compressor, Sirius Satellite Radio, Boston Acoustic speakers, Cobra 75WXST CB with a Firestik NGP antenna kit, Garmin Rino 530 (GPS plus GMRS/FRS radio), Dell laptop, and miscellaneous photography equipment from Canon and SUNPAK.
The Cherokee has since tackled some moderate trails in Arizona including Broken Arrow at dusk (with the staircase being ran in the dark), etc.
