Members' Rigs: Tom & Ann Picard

Me and Ann have been 4 Wheeling since 1998 in our Suzuki Samurai and we built it to be a very good 4 wheeling machine ( with 32" tires 1600cc engine, Dual 40mm Carbs (2 2bbl's) 2" Exhaust, 4.90 T-Case, Locked Front & Rear, Power Steering, High Steer Set Up, 4" SPOA, ) over the years. I ended up putting it on the roof after wheeling on many trails including Chiva Falls, Box Canyon, Gun Site Pass, Charouleau Gap, Upper and Lower Terminator, Upper and Lower Ajax, and many others including some other trails that we did on the 27th ASA Jamboree in Oct 2000 as A staff member in Florence Junction ( http://asa4wdc.org/ ). A few years later I put the Zuk on the roof and put the 4 wheeling on hold for some time.

I found Ann a Yellow 2000 Jeep Sport w/ 2" lift & 32"tires in 2003 That we took out on several trips including a bunch of trails in Sedona on a week long vacation where we tried to find every trail in the area.

We found out that in 2007 Jeep was coming out with a 4 door Unlimited Rubicon and we knew we had to have one. In Early December 2006 we special ordered our new 2007 White Jeep Unlimited Rubicon. We took ownership of our new Jeep JK in late March of 2007. A buddy of mine from work (George Lautt) told me of a group that he was part of called jeepexpeditions, I joined and went on our first run trough The Mojave Road, Kit Carson Tail, September 2007, We had a great time on the trail and decided to continue doing trails and seeing areas that we have not seen. I have been selling "D" cell ( Mag-Lite ) Flashlight Holders that I gave to everyone on our first trip as a gift. I bought a set of the plastic Mag-Lite clamps and they broke on me. I then came up with these clamps made out of vinyl coated spring steel, These will not break like the inferior product that I had bought in the past. Since this trip we have put a 4" Rancho Lift w/ RS9000 Shocks, 35" Pro Comp X-Mudterrain tires on 17"X9" DC-1 Black Wheels. Also some killer Stars and Bars Graphic's down the side of the Jeep. We are looking forward to enjoying the trails with you in the near future.
