Members' Rigs: Steve & Terri VanHerpen

|
Stephen & Terri VanHerpens LJ
Steve and Terri have one of the 1st Unlimited LJs. They are our "resident geo-cachers".
Steve says "We started with the then new '04.5 Jeep LJ (the first of the Unlimiteds). We've gone through 2 lifts, and now run an RE 3.5" lift, 33" TruXus STS tires, SYE and Tom Woods drive shaft, armor here and there, ARB compressor and limited slip in the rear diff. We also replaced the stock rear bumper with a TBT rock bumper, adding the tire rack and a double jerry can rack. Since this photo was taken we've replaced the stock tie rod with a TBT Alumi-Flex tie rod.
We sport two radios, a CB for trail comm, and a ham dual bander for real talking. Saving my pennies for a portable HF rig too.
We look forward to adding ARB lockers, and the new Yakima cargo rack (yes, they finally figured out how to add the Yakima line to a Jeep hardtop). We hope to have the lockers (and new gears!) in before we go to Moab in May.
Of course the list goes on - remember that JEEP stands for "Just Empty Every Pocket"."
